Below is the consignment application. By filling it out you agree to the rules below. Please fill out every part and give us as much detail as you can for us to better sell your horse.
Top Gun Consignment Rules
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All consignment fees are non-refundable. Consignor guarantees clear title and authority to sell. Horses must be accurately represented. Top Gun Horse Sales is not responsible for injury, illness, loss, theft, or death. Sale management reserves the right to refuse any entry. All horses sell as-is, where-is.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All horses consigned to the sale must meet the following requirements to ensure a fair, safe, and professional sale environment.
No stallions accepted. Geldings and mares only.
Sale management reserves the right to refuse any entry.
Horses must be no older than 15
Horses above 2 years of age must be broke to ride
Consignor must show proof of ownership for at least 6 months
Geldings must have been gelded at least 60 days prior to the sale.
Horses must be freshly trimmed at sale time.
No hoof black or colored hoof products may be used.
Long hair will not be a reason for sifting.
Horses must be ridden, shown, and sold using two cinches (front and rear).
The same bit or mouthpiece must be used during preview and in the sale ring.
Sale officials will check all equipment prior to selling.
All geldings must be current on West Nile and Flu vaccinations as well come with a coggins and brand inspection.
Anything suspicious may be evaluated further.
Inspection & Soundness
All horses will be inspected for overall quality, condition, and soundness.
Horses must be sound in eyes and body to sell.
Horses with major structural issues, significant dental abnormalities, parrot mouth, or conditions affecting long-term usefulness will not be accepted.
Minor cuts or cosmetic issues may be allowed if they are expected to heal normally without veterinary treatment.
A drug screening will be conducted on all horses. Any horse showing the effects of prohibited medications will be removed from the sale.
The sale committee reserves the right to sift any horse at any time prior to the sale. All fees are forfeited on sifted horses.
Sifting Process
Sifting will be Thursday May 14th – horses must be there before 11am
Horses will be shown at halter.
Horses will also be presented with all tack on if broke to ride preceding the halter show.
Handlers must demonstrate that the horse’s hind feet can be easily picked up.
Horses will be moved and presented as directed by the sifting committee.
Upon the horse’s departure from the bidding ring following the acceptance of a winning bid, all rights, title, interest, and risk of loss shall immediately transfer to the buyer. The seller and Top Gun Horse Sales hereby release any and all rights to the horse and shall not be held liable for injury, loss, theft, illness, death, or damages of any kind occurring after the winning bid has been declared.
